We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to those who were affected by the disasters.

This notification is to inform that exemption of some medical expenses, etc. will apply to the sufferers who live in the areas where the Disaster Relief Act applies as follows:

 

Object persons

① Those who received damage that the houses were totally or half destroyed, totally or half burned, flooded on the floor, or other similar damages

② When the main income earners died or were seriously injured

③  When the main income earners are missing

How they are treated

・Exemption of some medical expenses, etc. at medical institutions (payment by the suffers themselves at the counter)

・Deferral of the premium payment deadline for voluntarily continued insured persons (until the end of October 2026 <Reiwa 8>)

・Exemption of the fee for reissuing the insurance card

Applicable areas

Areas subject to the Disaster Relief Act due to the landslide in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, in July 2026(Reiwa 8)

Applicable period

From July 7, 2026 to October 31, 2026
