Brain medical checkup
Subsidies for annual brain medical checkups are available to insured persons (including voluntarily and continuously insured persons) aged 40 years or older.
Subsidy amounts
Eligible:
Insured persons aged 40 years or older

- *1. Only MRA or MRI scans are covered (CT scans alone are not covered).
- *2. Comprehensive brain checkups (general checkups including brain checkups) are only covered if the examination costs can be confirmed.
Application procedure and lead-up to examination
- STEP1Reservation ( Please make your own reservation. )
Select your preferred medical institution, course, and schedule and make your own reservation by telephone or Internet. - STEP2Follow the instructions provided by the medical institution.
(The medical institution will send a “Medical questionnaire form/ Stool test container” and other materials to your home. ) - STEP3
Checkup
- Go to the medical institution for your checkup at the appointed date and time.
- Pay the entire amount of the brain checkup (examination) charges yourself.

Application
Send the following documents to the Health Insurance Society:- Brain Dock (Medical Examination of Brain) Expense Bill
- Receipt
- Copy of checkup results
- STEP5Review and payment of subsidy
The Health Insurance Society will review the above documents.
The subsidy will subsequently be remitted into your designated bank account.
